Helsinki’s baseball family is growing as a new team for 7-13 year olds, Helsinki Cubs, launches this fall. The team offers children the opportunity to get acquainted with baseball in a relaxed and supportive environment, where the most important things are the joy of exercise, friendship, and learning something new.

Helsinki Cubs is part of the Puumat club, which already includes two adult baseball teams and one softball team. Practices will be held at the Myllypuro baseball field during the summer season and at Pallomylly hall during the winter season, enabling year-round participation in the sport.

The club’s goal is to make baseball as affordable and accessible a hobby as possible for all children. To this end, Puumat is actively investing in sponsorship partnerships and city support opportunities to reduce the costs of equipment and activities.

Training emphasizes fun, community, and individual development – every child gets to learn at their own pace and discover their own strengths. Both boys and girls are warmly welcome to join.

The new team brings a fresh breeze to the future of Finnish baseball.
Welcome to the Helsinki Cubs adventure!
