Puumat
The club's flagship team in the Superbaseball League.
Puumat is the club's flagship team, playing in the Superbaseball League — Finland's top level — and competing for the national championship each year. The team trains with ambition and combines experienced players with national-team-level know-how.
The club was established in 1981 to continue the work of Wranglers BC, around the same time the national federation was founded. Many of the early players came from the Helsingin Puna-Mustat pesäpallo team and Katajanokan Haukat. Baseball started from zero, but the players were already looking toward international competition — many national-team regulars came from Puumat.
Over the years the club has helped develop Finnish baseball, from fields to equipment. The first field meeting international standards was completed in Myllypuro, Helsinki in 2019, and it remains Puumat's home field.
