Sandstorm is a softball team based in Helsinki, functioning within Puumat organisation. Check out Sandstorms website!

The team is from various backgrounds, some having played softball growing up, some switched from finnish baseball, some are just starting out. Softball practise is mostly separate from baseball practice. Sandstorm is looking for new players. 

“We teach the basics of softball to players who haven’t played before. We also have more advanced training sessions for those with some experience. Softball is a global sport, and it is a growing sport in Finland. Though our team is primarily composed of women, we welcome male players to join us for training and competition as well.

At Sandstorm, we pride ourselves on our international-friendly atmosphere, where English is often used as the common language, but we also have Finnish speakers on the team to help foster a welcoming environment for everyone”
