Puumat Cubs is a newly founded team, established last fall, with players aged 7–13. The roster includes nearly 30 children. The indoor training season continues until the end of April, after which the team will move outdoors to prepare for the summer. The goal is to organize a tournament-style junior league that will offer young players more games and opportunities to develop—and based on today, the future of junior baseball in Finland looks very bright.
