Puumat Children’s Summer Camp Brings Baseball Joy to Myllypuro

At the beginning of June, from June 2-6, the Puumat children’s baseball camp was organized, gathering an enthusiastic and multilingual group of 7-13 year old young players at the Myllypuro field. For five days, the camp taught basic baseball skills, practiced throwing, hitting and team play – but above all, had fun and made new friends.

On the last day of camp, practice moved from theory to action when a real baseball game was played on the field. The youngsters got to showcase the skills they had learned during the week and enjoy the excitement of the game and team spirit. At the end of the day, each camper received a certificate as a memento of their great performance and shared moments.

“What an amazing camp and fantastic group!” was the organizers’ shared sentiment at the end of the week. Although the camp came to an end, the joy of baseball certainly didn’t stop there. The Puumat hint that something really exciting is coming soon for Helsinki’s youth – stay tuned!
